中国抗癫痫协会成立以来，在培养专业人才、促进学科发展、加强行业规范方面起到了积极有效的作用；在普及癫痫防治知识、开展患者公益活动方面，做了大量切实的工作，营造了良好的关爱癫痫患者的社会氛围。

同时，协会也是中国癫痫防治事业走向世界的窗口，越来越多的中国专家走向国际学术舞台，在国际会议上发表演讲、在国际组织中任职，展现了中国专家的水平和风采。

协会的主要业务包括：

• 开展国内和国际癫痫领域的学术交流与合作；
• 开展癫痫相关专业人员的培训，提高癫痫诊疗水平；
• 编辑出版癫痫专业和科普类书籍杂志；
• 设立癫痫相关专项资金，促进科研水平的提高；
• 开展癫痫公益活动和科普教育，普及癫痫防治的常识，为病人、家属和社会有关方面提供癫痫防治专业知识和就医、康复、劳动就业、教育等方面的咨询服务，积极维护病人的合法权益；
• 规范癫痫的治疗、协调研究工作、提升癫痫的整体医疗品质，促进癫痫专科的发展；
• 积极承担政府部门交付的任务，为政府相关决策提供咨询和建议；
• 为国内外新抗癫痫药、械提供试验基地，促进国内外癫痫防治事业的发展。

Founded in June 2005, the China Association Against Epilepsy is a nationwide social organization voluntarily composed of neurologists, surgeons, pediatrics and electrophysiology professionals dedicated to the treatment, prevention and control of epilepsy, as well as experts and scholars in psychiatry, psychology and sociology, pharmaceutical companies and social stakeholders.

Since its establishment, the China Association Against Epilepsy has played a positive and effective role in cultivating professional talents, promoting the development of disciplines, and strengthening industry norms. A lot of practical work has been done in popularizing the knowledge of epilepsy prevention and treatment and carrying out public welfare activities for patients, creating a good social atmosphere of caring for epilepsy patients.

At the same time, the association is also a window for China’s epilepsy prevention and treatment to the world, and more and more Chinese experts are going to the international academic stage, giving speeches at international conferences and serving in international organizations, showing the level and demeanor of Chinese experts.

The main activities of the association include:

• Carry out domestic and international academic exchanges and cooperation in the field of epilepsy;
• Carry out training for epilepsy-related professionals to improve the level of epilepsy diagnosis and treatment;
• Editing and publishing epilepsy professional and popular science books and magazines;
• Set up special funds related to epilepsy to promote the improvement of scientific research;
• Carry out epilepsy public welfare activities and popular science education, popularize the common sense of epilepsy prevention and treatment, provide patients, their families and relevant social parties with professional knowledge of epilepsy prevention and treatment and consulting services in terms of medical treatment, rehabilitation, labor and employment, education, etc., and actively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of patients;
• standardize the treatment of epilepsy, coordinate research work, improve the overall medical quality of epilepsy, and promote the development of epilepsy;
• Actively undertake the tasks assigned by government departments, and provide advice and suggestions for relevant government decisions;
• Provide a test base for new anti-epileptic drugs and devices at home and abroad, and promote the development of epilepsy prevention and treatment at home and abroad.
